Imagine Joining a Franchise Where the Franchisor Never Stops Working for Their Branch Owners
Most people thinking about buying a franchise ask the same question: what happens after I sign?
It’s the right question. Because the honest answer from a lot of franchise brands is: not much. You get your training, your manual, your logo, and then you’re mostly on your own. The franchisor gets a royalty. You get a territory. Everyone gets on with their life.
That’s not how we do it.
We Never Really Clock Off
A few weeks ago, Cat sat down with the directors of Sky High Window Cleaning for what started as a conversation about two franchise networks that had a lot in common. Different services, overlapping values, similar customers, and a shared belief that small businesses do better when they support each other.
That meeting became a partnership. Cross-referrals between franchisees in the same areas. Joint marketing. Shared appearances at each other’s franchisee Zoom calls. A combined social media strategy in the works. Two networks that are now actively working to send business each other’s way.
No YMWAV franchisee had to ask for that. It just happened, because building the brand is something we do all the time, not just during onboarding.
We Show Up in Person Too
Networking online is one thing. Being in the room is another.
We attend franchise industry events, expos, and networking groups throughout the year. Not to sit at the back and collect business cards. To talk about what we’re building, what our franchisees are achieving, and why the YMWAV model works. Every conversation we have in those rooms is a conversation being had on behalf of every branch in the network.
When we walk into a franchise expo, we’re not just representing ourselves. We’re representing the branch owner in Bristol who smashed her first month, the lad in Leeds who built a five-star reputation from scratch, the franchisee in Surrey who just hit their first hundred jobs. Their stories travel with us. We tell them wherever we go.
That matters more than people realise. The franchise world is a small one. Word of mouth in it moves fast. The more consistently we show up, speak well of our people, and back up what we say with genuine results, the stronger every YMWAV branch becomes by association.
What Networking Actually Does for Your Branch
Here’s the part people don’t always join up: when your franchisor is in the room, your name travels with them.
Every time we’re at a franchise industry event, every award nomination, every partnership conversation, every Zoom with another network’s franchisees — that’s the YMWAV name being heard by people who might become customers, partners, or advocates for your branch. You don’t have to be there. You’re already represented.
Cat was recently named a finalist for the Women Who Awards 2026. Dan has been building this brand since 2010, long before franchising was even part of the plan. The reputation we carry into every room we walk into belongs to every branch in this network.
That’s what a strong franchisor does. They grow the brand so you don’t have to do it alone.
We Champion Our Branch Owners. Loudly.
This is something we feel strongly about: when our franchisees do brilliant work, we shout about it.
A branch hits a hundred five-star reviews? We share it. Someone goes above and beyond for a customer in a tough situation? We tell that story. A franchisee wins a local award, gets featured in their community paper, or just has a cracking month? That deserves to be celebrated, and we make sure it is.
Being part of this network means you have people in your corner who are genuinely invested in your success, not just watching from a distance. We take every opportunity to showcase what our branch owners are achieving, because it tells the world what this brand actually stands for. Not the tagline. Not the logo. The real thing, every day, done by real people who give a damn.
We talk about our franchisees at industry events. We share their wins on our channels. We put their stories in front of the people who are thinking about joining the network. Because the best advert for what YMWAV is? The people already doing it.
The Work That Happens Behind the Scenes
There’s the visible stuff: the awards, the partnerships, the press. Then there’s the quieter work that takes just as long.
The social media infrastructure being built centrally so every branch has a consistent, professional presence. The compliance frameworks being updated so you’re always protected. The training programme being written so every new franchisee who joins after you makes the whole network stronger. The head office systems that handle your Google Business Profile setup, your branch email, your telephone number, so you can focus on the jobs.
None of that is glamorous. All of it benefits you directly.
Stronger Together Isn’t Just a Tagline
One of YMWAV’s three brand values is Stronger Together. It’s easy to put something like that on a website. It’s harder to actually mean it.
We mean it.
When one branch does a brilliant job and gets a five-star review, the whole network’s reputation edges up. When a partnership brings in enquiries across multiple areas, every franchisee in those areas benefits. When the franchisor builds relationships that open doors, those doors are open for everyone who’s part of this.
That’s the thing about joining a network rather than just buying a licence. You’re not buying a job. You’re buying into something that’s being actively built on your behalf, every single day, whether you’re watching or not.
So. What Are You Waiting For?
If you’ve been thinking about running your own branch, ask yourself what you want from a franchisor. A logo and a manual? Or a team that’s genuinely invested in making sure you succeed?
We’re building something here. We’d love you to be part of it.
