Cat Robson-Scarborough Named a Finalist in the 2026 Best Business Women Awards
We have some brilliant news to share.
Cat Robson-Scarborough, our Co-Director and the person who built the YMWAV franchise from the ground up, has been named a finalist in the Most Inspiring Businesswoman category at the 2026 Best Business Women Awards.
The Best Business Women Awards are considered one of the most prestigious women in business awards in the UK. Running since 2015, they recognise female entrepreneurs making a genuine impact. Judged by a panel of business experts, not a public vote. There’s no gaming the system here. You either impress the judges or you don’t.
Cat did.
From One Spreadsheet to 65 Branches
When Cat and Dan launched the YMWAV franchise in January 2024, there was no template to follow. No one had done quite this with a man with a van service before. There were no guarantees, a lot of spreadsheets, and a very clear vision of what it could become.
Two and a half years later, there are 65+ branches across the UK, more than 3,000 five-star reviews, and a network that runs because the foundations were built properly. Every franchisee was personally vetted by Cat. Not for capital. For character. That’s a different thing entirely.
Cat’s background before YMWAV wasn’t in franchising. She spent years as a Director of Retail and Customer Service, working with brands like Calvin Klein, Swatch, and LK Bennett. Brands that take their standards seriously and operate at scale. She brought that same thinking to YMWAV. The standard in Cornwall looks the same as the standard in Aberdeen.
What the Nomination Recognises
The Most Inspiring Businesswoman category exists to celebrate the women who build things properly. Who show other people, particularly other women, that it’s possible to start from scratch, do it with integrity, and create something that lasts.
That’s exactly what Cat has done.
2026 has already been a strong year for recognition. Cat was also named a finalist in the Woman Who Awards and shortlisted for Start-Up Entrepreneur of the Year at the Great British Entrepreneur Awards. Across the YMWAV network we now hold 19+ industry awards and a 99% five-star rating.
We’re proud of every single one. But this one feels particularly fitting.
