One of our long-distance moves from our base camp took us on an unforgettable journey all the way up Edinburgh and then back down to Reading, Berkshire. A 2 day mission.

The day before collection, we drove up to Alnwick—about two hours south of Edinburgh—where our franchisors Cat & Dan are based.

It’s easy to see why they chose to move there; Alnwick is such a beautiful place, full of charm and character. We spent an afternoon visiting Alnwick Gardens and enjoying some great Northumbrian pub grub.

The following morning, we set off fairly early to reach our customer’s address in Edinburgh for 9am. We managed to load all of their belongings from a top floor flat in 2 hours phew 😅. The trip down to Reading was surprisingly traffic-free, and after unloading, we made our way back to base in time for tea.

Those two days were more than just another a moving job—they were a memorable adventure, reminding us what makes this work so rewarding.

We recently had the chance to travel to Holland and make use of our Operators licence, to help an events company with a major hospitality client of theirs. The experience was incredible.

We spent four action-packed days, working behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly for their big event. Being part of such a large, international operation was both challenging and rewarding, and gave us a real sense of pride in what we doing. It’s projects like these that make our work so memorable and exciting.

When we weren’t working, we made the most of our time by exploring some of the city’s sights. From wandering along picturesque canals to sampling local food, it was great to soak up the atmosphere and experience a bit of Dutch culture.

Seeing more of the city was the perfect way to unwind after busy days, and it made the whole trip even more memorable.
