Your Man With a Van Saffron Walden

We’ve done a lot of moves over the years, but there’s one we’ll never forget. It was a tight timeline — two vans, four of us, and a full 4 bed house to clear and a family dog that followed every box to the van like he was in charge of security. 👮

When it was time to leave, he refused to get in the car with his owner. He wanted to ride with us — with the stuff. So we improvised: the customer jumped in one van, and the dog rode up front with us. He was calm as anything, watching the road like a seasoned co-driver. By the time we pulled up to the new house, everything (and everyone) had made it just fine — including our four-legged supervisor. 🐶

One time we helped a customer in Saffron Walden who needed to clear out their basement — not for a typical renovation, but to build a fully dedicated model railway room. We’re talking miniature mountains, hand-built stations, tunnels, the works. 🛤️

The space was packed with three generations’ worth of model trains, tracks, scenery — a real treasure trove. We arranged secure storage through one of our trusted partners and handled the whole process from start to finish. Everything was packed with care, catalogued, and moved into storage safely.

A few months later, once the new railway room was ready, we brought it all back. Every box, crate, and delicate piece was returned and placed on newly built dedicated storage racks. — ready for the grand build to begin. Choo choo 🚂
