Over the years, I have gained much experience handling fine art and antiques, items that call for a lot patience, precision, and absolute care handling them. I’ve had the pleasure of working with various local antique dealers, including Jan Keyne, a regular on Dickinson’s Real Deal. Every item has a story to tell, and their safe journey is something I take immense pride in.

I’ve also covered deliveries at various prestigious venues such as Olympia and Battersea Park in London. Those moments, surrounded by history and craftsmanship, remind me why I love what I do—every move feels special to me.

Another move was very exciting, being part of the team that moved a pair of celebrity sweethearts, who we all know and love, into their country residence, a most unforgettable moment of my career.

It was surreal and exciting—the kind of job you don’t forget. The security was super tight, the timing had to be spot on, and every single item had to be treated with a white glove. The atmosphere was thick with professionalism, quiet pride in what we were doing.

When everything was in situ, including the giant glass table and the biggest chandelier you’ve ever seen, we knew we had all been a part of something rather special—a once-in-a-lifetime move, really. Very proud 🥹

One move we’ll never forget took place in southern Spain in a scorching 38 degrees sun. We were moving heavy granite worktops up several flights of stairs into a customer’s villa, a true test of endurance. In full safety gear, it felt even hotter, like working in an oven.

Thankfully, our trusty shoulder dolly lifting straps helped each load be that little bit more manageable (our favourite bit of kit). Despite the heat, teamwork kept spirits high, and seeing those granite tops perfectly in place made every drop of sweat worth it—a true summer workout!
